Photo Rendering

Photo Rendering is a process used to combine two or more pictures into a composite picture. (Like the picture running through the Internet of the guy on top the world trade center as the plane was approaching)

A Snapshot taken during a summer fishing trip depicts Dave holding a nice sized pike in front of his camper. But, that is all it is--a snapshot. Let's see if we can spruce this picture up a little bit using some desktop graphics.

Let's just take Dave and the fish out of the photo by extracting just them. This is possible with computer software (PhotoShop) programs so that we may use this image and combine it with other images. And, we will make the background transparent

Another candid photograph of the lake taken during the same trip could be used for the background. By using the same software program, we can layer Dave and his pike onto the photo of the lake thereby getting rid of the background of the camper.

A composite picture of friend and pike extracted and applied to the lake background

Ahhhhh, the finished product! With some added text such as "This should keep that fish from growing over the years", printing an 8X10 gloss, and framing it made a nice birthday present.
